Tick Tock

We are getting really good at..waiting.  Three years ago we tried to start our adoption while living in the US and we waited for an answer and we waited but we were Canadian and therefore did not qualify for an international adoption.  So we started contacting Canadian agencies to help us..we waited and then found out that under law they could not help us as we were living in the US. So we waited.  We then finally made our way back to Canada to fulfill our dream as this little girl in our hearts was calling us.  When we arrived there were big problems with the agency we were planning to move forward with..so again we waited. We then found the perfect agency for us and were thrilled to discover that our child would be from South Africa, a country where my husband lived in the early years of his life.  We signed on and really started the paper chase..more waiting but happily we felt like we were now on clear path to our daughter. With our paperwork in this past March we are now waiting for our social worker in South Africa to match us with our daughter.  It's hard to believe that this person choses our child..a child, teen, woman who we will love forever.  We have much faith in her as many before us believe so strongly in her abilities. 

Soon, little one..hopefully soon we won't have to wait.
